What happens in a pre-assessment session?

During your 50-minute pre-assessment, one of our Assistant Psychologists or Counsellors will talk with you about your current concerns, personal background, and wellbeing goals. This helps us understand what support would work best for you.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, we offer both online and face-to-face sessions. You can choose what feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

What is ADHD?

ADHD can affect many aspects of life, including school performance, relationships, work productivity, and emotional wellbeing. While it is often recognised in childhood, a majority of people only realise they have ADHD in their adulthood. The condition, which affects the brains executive functions such as controlling emotions, focus and concentrations is often dismissed as being lazy or having a bad upbringing.

My 13 yr old daughter has been coming to see Nuha for 3 months now, to help with anxiety and other issues that have affected her school attendance and sleep. From day one Nuha has been nothing but kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable, she said that she would definitely be able to help my daughter, and she wasnt wrong! Started with weekly sessions that have now dropped to every 2 weeks, my daughter is doing amazingly well, her mental health has improved so much, and shes back in school full time. My partner and I were struggling with a few aspects of our relatively new relationship,which was close to coming to an end.

I have been considering therapy for such a long time and wasn’t really sure it is the right thing for me to do. But when I have finally opened to the idea of counselling, I found Jaz. Jaz has been very supportive and makes me feel safe enough to express how I feel, she has been nothing but highly professional but also is able to treat me highly on personal level. Made an enquiry via the online chat function and was contacted within an hour. We were offered a choice of appointments including weekends which makes things so much easier as I’m in full time employment. I worked with Santosh after feeling overwhelmed with balancing a difficult work situation, family life and self doubt. I felt the issues were very isolated to the last couple of years and was sceptical of starting the timeline process- going right back to my first memories but it did definitely help and it was definitely the right process. I am quite a self aware person but talking it through in detail and having someone understand the situations and help put things in order was definitely useful. During the course I really felt things becoming much easier in day to day life and since finishing I feel that balance I was after has returned. I've come away with mechanisms to ensure situations don't happen again and if they do, better ways to deal with them. I didn't really think I needed the therapy but I'm so glad I did it and would recommend people get in touch if they even begin to feel it might be useful, it's well worth it.

Myself and my partner found Lynsey to be very approachable and easy to talk to. She helped us to feel comfortable having difficult conversations and offered support in helping with mental health. Unfortunately we couldn't continue sessions due to work and busy life schedules but I would highly recommend Lynsey for counselling if anyone was looking.

What a wonderful service provided by Jag at My Solution Wellbeing (Leicester)! If it wasn't for her I would still be struggling with my mental health. In just a few sessions she helped to unravel my thoughts, provided a safe and nurturing environment for me to open up and gave me solutions to take forward. She's also incredibly warm, extremely knowledgeable and an excellent listener which are crucial qualities in an effective counsellor. If you're ever considering getting counselling, please try this service! You won't be disappointed.

I would like to thank Diane for helping me and supporting my personal growth. She is so easy to talk to and creates a very calm and safe environment for you to open up in. She supported me with overcoming addiction by implementing a clear and easy to follow structure which worked very well for me and still does. At first I was a little bit reluctant about therapy, but after my first session with Diane the weight that had been lifted off my shoulders was amazing and I was back every week.
